6-week Training Program for Adventure Racing (City and Suburban Groups!)

Looking for a new challenge or bored with your current fitness routine? Mix it up a bit and join our 6-week Adventure Racing training program, which will literally take you off the beaten path!

Our training program is designed specifically for female athletes of all levels who are interested in getting their feet wet in adventure or off-road races. You'll learn basic orienteering, mountain biking, trail running, kayaking and teamwork skills.

The sport of adventure racing is growing by leaps and bounds, and is an easy crossover for cyclists, runners and triathletes. Disciplines can vary from race to race. An emphasis is placed on teamwork, rather than individual achievement.

Teams in the fall city of Chicago 2009 program will train for the No Skirts Allowed Adventure Race in Indianapolis on October 10. This is a 4-6 hour adventure race.  Teams in the fall suburban program will train for the Fat Otter Adventure Sports Sprint Adventure Race on November 21. 

No worries if you don't have a team! During the program, we'll pair you up with others to train and race with. And you can still train even if you don't plan on doing the actual event.

  • Professional coaching from master adventure racers and experienced coaches
