Group Triathlon Training for Life Time Chicago Triathlon 2012
Our 12-week group triathlon training program meets twice weekly for those competing in either the Sprint or International distance. Our small training groups allow for maximum amounts of individual attention. Our coaches cover all aspects of the triathlon in addition to training effectively with a heart rate monitor so you are in top shape come race day. We provide an affordable, and rich training experience with professional, certified coaches. Check out all that is included in this program! Remember, this program fills every year, so get in early!
Please note: If this is your first triathlon, we recommend starting with the Sprint distance training program. If you're seeking a new challenge, sign up for the Olympic distance training program.

Our virtual coaching program for the Life Time Tri Chicago is a great way for busy women to get quality, progressed and safe triathlon coaching for this popular event. If you want a program to follow along online and are good at training independently, this is the program for you. You'll get a professionally designed 12-week training program to help your reach your performance goals.
Here is what's included in our virtual web coaching:
- Education on field assessments with heart rate training (which our program uses to train you safely!)
- Get exclusive access to your new team via our online discussion board so you can support each other in reaching your individual goals and training milestones.
- Get exclusive online access to your coach. That's right, your own coach!
- Get a special treat from Max Multisport in the mail! Yahoo for goodies! Hear from your coach throughout the program and get questions, guidance professional coaching.
- If you are local, you can attend one of our skills clinics/workout, our triathlon expo, and a special invitation to our mini-triathlon practice session a few weeks prior to race-day!
- Opportunity for team meet up and pep talk pre-race and also access to our finisher tent!
Details: 12 week virtual program starts the week of June 4 and cost is $149.00. You will need to purchase a heart rate monitor prior to the program as our program uses that as it's key methodology. TIP: Get one that shows heart rate and time on the same screen and has 5 zones!
Chicago Triathlon Skills Clinics
Everyone can use a little extra help when it comes to triathlon, a sport that relies on good skills. We will help take the guesswork out of training with our focused triathlon skills clinics. These clinics will help prepare you and give you extra tips and tricks for race day!
We have several clinics and dates to choose from including:
- Bike Skills Clinic/Workout: 6/18 Northerly Island 7 am
- Swim Skills Clinic/Workout: 6/28 7:30 pm (TBD exact time) North Side College Prep H.S.
- Open Water Swim Skills Clinic/Workout: 6/25 (7 am) or 7/5 (6:30 pm) at Ohio Street Beach/Olive Park
- Transition Skills/Technique/Workout: 7/16 at 7 am at Montrose/Cricket Hill base
- Run Skills/Track Workout: 6/21 at 6:30 pm Winnemac Park Track

Chicago Triathlon Group Workout Punch-Card (good for city and suburbs)
Punch-cards are a great option if you can only occasionally make a workout. You can buy practices in four-practice or eight-practice cards. If you finish your card before the end of the session, you can always purchase another one. When purchasing a punch card, you agree to finish these practices before the end of the session or the punches expire. The punch card plan is a good choice if you can make less than two workouts per week. A Max Multisport coach will send you an email upon registration and ask you to print your card prior to attending the first workout. Bring it with you and have a coach check off and initial your card each time you attend a workout. (not eligible for clinic dates or mini-triathlon workouts)

Max Multisport has guaranteed race spots for the 2012 Chicago Triathlon! This race sells out each year! For one of our guaranteed race spots, you must sign up for the Chicago Triathlon Training Group by June 1!
