Develop confidence, technique and cycling efficiency through Max Multisport's group bike workouts! We offer rides indoors in the cold weather and go outdoors in the spring and summer. Need to improve your cycling techniques and fitness? Join Max Multisport coaches and athletes for Outdoor Group Rides to work on gearing and shifting — and have some fun! In addition to below cycling dates, we ride on Sundays in Barrington and other outlying suburbs and are happy to have you along to help coach you. if you are interested in this option.

Indoor Group Cycling Classes 
No need to put your bike away when the weather turns cold! Take advantage of those fall and winter months to learn bike techniques that will increase efficiency and fitness levels, reduce fatigue and drop bike times with immediate results.
In the city, based out of HPI in the Ravenswood neighborhood, we use CompuTrainers and your own bike. All levels welcome, no experience is necessary! Sign up for our city classes.
In the suburbs, based out of the Trek Downers Grove store, we use bicycle trainers and your own bike. Sign up for our suburban classes.
Our classes are great if you are looking for a professional coach to help you develop technique, form and strength indoors using your own bike. For both city and suburban classes, please bring your heart rate monitor, a towel and a water bottle filled with an electrolyte beverage.
City Classes
In the city, our Indoor Group Cycling Classes use CompuTrainers, which is the same technology that professional cyclists use and USA Triathlon relies on to train its top triathletes. Now you can use this technology, too — and ride on your own bike!
Your coach will run everyone through a sustainable power threshold assessment during the first week of class to set power zones. Subsequent weeks of the class will focus on efficiency, endurance, strength and speed. We will also use these power zones with heart rate zones. Only 6-7 spots in each class, so sign up early!

Suburban Classes (Downers Grove Cycling)
Join our Cycle-Core Class. The first class will determine your threshold cycling heart rate along with the proper heart rate zones for training. These are 6-week indoor cycling sessions on your own bike using trainers to develop skills, as well as core strength. Professional, certified coaches will lead you through an exciting, heart pumping class. Then on your mat, your coach will integrate exercises specific to cycling which will strengthen and flatten your core area. All levels welcome! No experience necessary.

Week 1: Testing
Week 2: Technique (single leg, spinning full pedal stroke)
Week 3: High cadence
Week 4: Strength w/big gears
Week 5: Short pops/neuromuscular adaptation
Week 6: Strength on & off bike (hill course/off the bike to/ no equipment necessary strength work)
Week 7: Recovery HR intervals (should see some nice fitness gains by now)
Week 8: Testing
